The Bayberry Cast returns to Jazz & Beyond.  They will be performing on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the McFadden Stage Change Companies Stage.

The Bayberry Cast, founded by Lucas Arizu and Darcy Kathleen, play high-energy creative music – jazz, swing, blues, funk, Latin, rhythm, Motown, and ballads.  An Argentinean born and raised in Buenos Aires, Lucas began his musical education at the “Escuela de Musica de Buenos Aires” (Buenos Aires Music School), where he learned the art of Tango and Folklore music played on the traditional nylon string guitar.  The band has been featured throughout the Reno-Tahoe area.  Members are Darcy Kathleen, vocal; Lucas Arizu, guitar & flute; Todd Holway, keys; Jef Derderian, trumpet; Doug Coomler, tenor sax; Zack Teran, bass; and Miguel Jimenez-Cruz, drums.


Due to construction on Curry Street through the end of the festival, this and other events have been moved from the McFadden Stage to the Change Companies Stage (Levitt Stage) at the Brewery Arts Center, 511 W. King St. Some seating is available, but we encourage you to bring your own seating (e.g., lawn chair) to this event.

Zack Teran Band at Change Companies Stage – 8/18

Jack Teran, bassistZack Teran Band, lead by highly talented bassist and composer Zack Teran, will be performing on Wed., Aug. 18, 2021, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the Bob McFadden Plaza Stage Change Companies Stage.  The band includes,

Peter Epstein – sax  (Dave Strawn will substitute on guitar for Mr. Epstein.)
Josh Reed – trumpet
Adam Benjamin – keys
Miguel Jimenez-Cruz – drums
Zack Teran – bass

Due to unhealthy air conditions on Aug. 18, this event is being held in the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, adjacent to the Changes Companies Stage.  Please wear a mask.  Also note that Dave Strawn (guitarist) will be subbing for Peter Epstein.
