Mile High Jazz Band and CHS Jazz Band at Levitt Stage/BAC – 8/24 (canceled or postponed)
Due to predicted Very Unhealthy-to-Hazardous air quality on Aug. 24, the Joint Concert scheduled to be held at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St., at 7:00 p.m. has been cancelled or postponed. Nick Jacques, band director at Carson High School, wrote, “trying to push an event with the cards stacked against us isn’t always the best idea, so I feel like this is the most stress-free solution. We will cancel this performance and work towards a different performance sometime later this fall.”
The Mile High Jazz Band (MHJB) is joined by the Carson High School Jazz Band for a joint concert at McFadden Plaza the Change Companies Stage on Tue., Aug. 24, 2021, starting at 7:00 p.m. Jakki Ford will be featured on vocals.
MHJB is under the direction of David Bugli, and the Carson High School Jazz Band is under the direction of Nick Jacques. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the intergenerational music.
Due to construction on Curry Street through the end of the festival, this and other events have been moved from the McFadden Stage to the Change Companies Stage (Levitt Stage) at the Brewery Arts Center, 511 W. King St. Some seating is available, but we encourage you to bring your own seating (e.g., lawn chair) to this event.
