The Sierra Gypsies are the kind of band that feels stitched into the mountain air
of South Lake Tahoe. For more than a decade, they have been hopping from venue to
venue, leaving behind warm melodies, tapping feet, and the sense that you just stumbled
into a really fun night.
Built around the warm strum of acoustic guitar and a swinging piano, the Gypsies
glide easily between acoustic intimacy and electric sparkle. Their Americana sound mixes
road-tested originals with Gypsy-fied covers, all carried by rich harmonies and tempos
that insist you move closer to the dance floor.
Performers are: Brian Garret, lead vocal & guitar; Jennifer Plevel, lead vocal;
Jeff Schwarz, keyboards & vocal; Bill Rogers, drums; Laurens, Bass; and TBD, guitar.
