CeCe Gable Quintet - Wednesday 8/16/2023 - 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. - McFadden Plaza
CeCe Gable has enjoyed success as a jazz vocalist and educator in Nevada for nearly
three decades. She arrived from Vermont when accepted into the Nevada Arts Council
Artist-in-Residence Program in dance. She served throughout Nevada, and performed with
local theater productions including the Nevada Opera, Repertory Theater Company, Reno
Little Theater, and The Actor's Project, an Equity theater company. She maintains a private
studio for children and adults in the performing arts. Hailed by critics for her recent
New York recordings (in 2020 and 2022), she has been described as "a sincere storyteller,
adept at harmony and lyric and elevating every tune she inhabits" with "emotional intensity
and poetry of feeling."
CeCe has just returned from concerts at the Tyrrhenian Jazz Festival
in Calabria, Italy where she introduced her latest song in collaboration with Corky Brumble,
"Love on the Tyrrhenian." Her CD Next Year's Song, produced by New York bassist Harvie S, was
selected as one of the top 200 jazz CDs of 2022. CeCe is excited to be performing with stellar musicians
at the Jazz & Beyond Festival: Nick Bentz, keys; Dylan Coleman, bass; Tyler Pow, drums; and
